It’s a digital number for clients accounts in banking sector as on the international level which built on a special global standards of account numbers which checks a universal unification which known by account digit’s

Central bank of Iraq developed a committee to applied the (IBAN) system for all Iraqi bank since January, 2nd, 2017 it is already applied right now in our bank.

The goal for the (IBAN)

1-Assests the bank to improve the banking services.

2-Reduce the errors which may happened on local or foreign transaction, with quick implementation.

3-Facilitate banks transactions procedures, locally and a broad, such as in word out word transactions.

4-Minimizing of return transactions references because of account numbers mistakes

5-Increase the reliability, efficiency measures of money transfers which placed across the network by the clients.

6-Strengthen the softness of the financial information which accompanied the banking transfers

When the clients use the (IBAN)

1-outword money transfer to broad when the sender bank and the receiver uses (IBAN). To the countries using (IBAN)

2-Inword transfer between the local clients the (IBAN) of the both clients (sender and receiver)

3-The in word transfers to the bank’s client (the Iraqi customer must inform the sender abroad the (IBAN)
